So I finally decided to try out lotro and installed the high-res version. As soon as I log in and start creating my character, the screen goes black and then appears again with the error message "amdkmdap has crashed but has successfully recovered". This happens every 2-5 minutes. I tried decreasing graphics but it only delayed it another minute or so.
Now this has happened before with Oblivion but increasing my gpu fan speed did the trick as it was running quite slow and therefore temps had shot up. I have never decreased my fans from then on and never had another problem until lotro.
Dishonored and black ops 2 run without a single crash. I also started WoW up and it ran without a hitch for the hour I played it.
Any ideas as to why only lotro is having this problem? Anyone know a fix?

Gateway FX 6800-01e
GPU: Radeon HD 4850 512mb
Ram: 3GB DDR3 1066Mhz
CPU: intel quad-core i7-920
Vista Home premium 64-bit
