So, upgraded to Windows 10. Both this game and DDO are installed via Steam. I have also re-installed them separately without Steam, from the website downloads, just in case it was a Steam issue.
Install goes fine, no errors, nothing. Both Lotro and DDO load and play fine, with one issue. No music. No sounds. Not only do the sounds not play, it kills ALL sounds - windows sounds, videos, mp3's = nothing plays. My volume meters bounce up and down and show green, as if sound is playing, but I can't hear anything. Nothing shows as off/muted/disabled. As soon as I quit/kill DDO/Lotro - sound comes back.
No other game I have exhibits this issue. I can play EQ/EQ2/DCUO/Fallout 3, whatever else I have installed, with no issues. It's just these 2 games.
Windows 10 is fully updated. Drivers are fully updated. No other program seems to have this issue, just these 2 games.
Any ideas?
Thanks beforehand!
