My mom is trying to create a new character. She is choosing the Beorning, Selecting Female then clicking next. she is at the Insert a name and do all of the customizing of the character. The game completely exits out within 5 secs.
I then had her log on to one of her already made characters to check if it was something within the game. she was able to do normal gameplay. she logged out of that character went back to the create a character. She was in the middle of customizing when about 2 minutes into it the game completely closes.
On the next start of the game we went straight to create a character. we decided to pick a random class and race to see if it a problem with create a character section of the game or just a specific create a character race. She has pick a Female Hobbit Minstrel and the game did not close, we let it sit for 4 minutes still running. She then clicked on Beorning and female. She is customizing the character and in about 2 minutes again it closes.
She restarted her laptop. She opens the game. Goes to fullscreen mode. Goes to create a character. picks female Beorning and types in her name. begins customizing the character. she designs the character she wants and clicks play. she is loading the character and no problem. doesnt seem like she has a problem anymore. she switches to window mode. it looks like the problem is gone.
Is there something wrong with window mode or is there a small bug with the create a character, to cause the problem she had.
She is using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit 2.27 GHz Processor, 8 GB ram, LOTRO is in window mode not fullscreen, window runs smoother on her laptop than fullscreen.
