I recently tried to install a bluetooth wireless headset for use in gaming etc.
I noticed that there were three separate channels I could choose from
--Audio Renderer (Stere)
--Microphone
--Handsfree device (Mono)
When I first set it up, I could hear the music in game through the Audio renderer and it was great sounding.
Then, when I tried to get the mic set up as the voice recording device, I couldn't hear anything but my own voice (like it disabled the sound i heard before)
Then, I set the audio device to the handsfree device (mono) and I could use my mic as well as hear the game, but it was extremely tinny.
Is this par for the course for bluetooth headsets? I guess with all the tech inbetween the real sound and the device, I should expect some sound degradation. But if anyone has found a better set up (like, stereo sound in my ears, mic working too) please let me know.
