Windows 7 64bit/Geforce680/Itunes

Thought I'd post my recent experience with GTX680 crashing to Windows, in case it helps anyone else.

Two weeks ago I decided to avoid the awful Helms Deep music and listen to my own albums with iTunes running in the background. Since then I've experienced crashing to desktop randomly. Sometimes it would crash repeatedly in a single session, other times not at all. I tried changing DirectX 9/10/11 settings in game along with other setting such as anti-aliasing etc., but it would still crash whenever it felt like it. I then stopped using iTunes, cranked Lotro into Directx11 with ultimate settings and not a crash.

Not being a computer boffin, well not yet (my computing degree is still in progress), I can only assume that Itunes takes a lot of memory resources that somehow affects the running of Lotro. I could hear a sound glitch as the crash happened.

I'm still thinking of a way to use my own music, perhaps a Winamp derivative. I've read that Winamp is similar to Itunes though.

Anyone else have any similar audio issues?
